After reading the Celestine Prophecy many moons ago, I try not to take coincidences lightly. In this particular case, it was pretty special so I thought I’d share it! <3
I was having a considerably difficult day. Not sure how to describe it other than the fact that everything that seemed could go wrong, did. So as I normally do in times of trouble, I turned to music. And in doing so, I turned on Pandora’s Iron and Wine station.
My concentration was focused primarily on my work so I was vacillating between actually appreciating the music and letting the smooth sound waves slip past my distracted mind. Then, I heard this…
Love!
Sometimes you feel like a song is speaking directly to you and you feel a deep connection with it. It feels as if you’ve tapped into a source of gently drifting tides of tranquility. And in my eyes, blind to the notion of coincidences and accepting such instances as gracious gifts from our awesome universe, they ARE speaking to me.
It’s so exhilarating to realize that our existence is not dominated by a random chain of events but that our life situation provides a map toward enlightenment and all we have to do is follow it.
Happiness is a choice: choose wisely. Life is a joy: live it. There is a brilliant luminosity surrounding us: embrace it with all your heart. Simply open your eyes, for the moments where we feel the most overwhelmed, insecure and encumbered may very well be a stones throw away from the time of our lives. (Iman said this in an email and it eerily fit the context of this post)
And I got troubles Lord, but not today ’cause they gonna wash away, this old river gonna take me away.
