Who doesn’t love Jim Henson? I mean seriously, the man was a genius. Creator of The Muppets, Sesame Street, Fraggle Rock to name a few. The man who singlehandedly made puppets cool. And more than cool, a cultural icon for sing-songy, positive, happy do-goodery in the world.
We all know and love that Jim Henson (who in many many ways reminds me of our own fearless leader Jackson).

But it was only in recently reading a screenplay about “The Muppet Man”, that I came across this:
Timepiece is Henson’s academy award nominated short film from 1965. There are no Muppets. Instead it’s a surrealist experimental film, that follows an everyman (Henson) through life’s major cycles, with a jazzy, percussive, nearly dialogue-free soundtrack. It’s thought-provoking, and also flat-out hysterical. Oh yes, and I think I can say: genius!
It’s 9 minutes short, but if you love Jim Henson (and again, who doesn’t), you have to watch.
