As I sit in JFK airport reading Jackson’s lovely post and shout out to me, I was thinking of ideas and news from Hong Kong that I could post about. Lo and behold!! The world works in funny ways!
This just landed in on my RSS feed. The Hong Kong Jockey Club is set to become the first in the world to receive a fleet solar-powered ferries! These awesome transporters were developed by an Australian company by the name of Solar Sailor Holdings Ltd.
A hybrid machine, these ferries function 3/4 of the time on solar power and 1/4 of the time on liquefied petroleum. I am so proud that my hometown is the first to embrace this lovely green technology!
