Heyo!
While you were all lining up to see The Social Network this past weekend (was it good?), I stayed home and watched a lovely short on the complexities of self-expression through modern communication. It’s called “Could-Have-Been Love Story” and it’s a tale about something we’re all familiar with: awkward facebook chats. You know what I’m talking about. In fact, I’m sure a great majority of us (myself included) experience that pause as to whether we should open up and share with someone we love how much we care about them or whether we should just stay “safe” and keep it to ourselves all the time…well, we’ve all experienced our side of the story, that is. And the beauty of this cute video is that it shows what could be happening on both sides.
Was this video poetically staged? Of course. But the message of it remains the same: no matter what the situation, in the long run, you never lose by being honest and expressing yourself fully. Trust me. It works. And I’d even go so far as to say it makes the world a better place. Sooo….
