Get to know your food.

Howdy SuperForest!

About a week ago, SuperForester Spoon began a great series of posts about tips on how to save some money. In that post, SuperForester Jackson gave the simple, yet genius suggestion of eating more grains and vegetables. The idea really stuck to me and since then, I’ve been working hard on implementing it into my daily living style.

This morning I saw a video that really reminded me of SuperForester Spoon’s post. It offers a very simple suggestion: Get to know your food. Take a look!

Perfect! So eating more grains and vegetables not only saves you money and saves you time, it also helps you get to know your food! When you are eating, you are basically inviting the food inside your body, doesn’t it make sense for the two of you to get to know each other a little first? (That sounds sooo horrible but you get what I mean.)

YouTube user tyronius1 took this wonderful advice to heart and decided to take the whole “Get to know your food” idea a step further!

Wow! As if growing your own food isn’t enough of a treat, naming your vegetables…that’s just golden!

I wonder if any awkwardness arose when he decided he was ready to eat Barb, Clive, Dr. Pepper, Tony, Chester, or Linus…hmmm.

Have an excellent weekend!
