Goood morning SuperForest!
SuperForester Lindsay just sent this in:
“Hiiiiiiii team superforest!
Today a friend and I happened upon a super-superforesty find in manhattan, and I just HAD to share it with ya’ll. It’s a project called Wild Horses of Sable Island, and it’s a mobile museum of breathtaking photographs by Roberto Dutesco of wild horses on an island off the coast of Nova Scotia, where no humans live, but these gorgeous horses are enjoying a beautiful natural home.
Their mission statement: “Beauty has the power to inspire, to teach and to drive action. Awareness through beauty is more than a philosophy, it is about taking concrete action to support conservation projects around the world and help protect the handful of sites that remain in a state of true wilderness. The Wild Horses of Sable Island Mobile Project, aims to inspire tomorrow’s leaders in emerging and developing countries about the importance of natural habitats and conservation. Our goal is to establish a network of Sable Island Kindergartens where children will be introduced the incredible story of the Wild Horses of Sable Island, through film, photography and storytelling.”
