Stuart McMillan presents an  illustrated tale of St. Matthew Island, which had very interesting results to its experimental addition of 29 reindeer to an isolated island with finite natural resources.

The little blue gem in the picture on the left is every drop of water on this planet, and the gray pearl on the right is all the breathable oxygen.

See how little? See how precious?

There’s been an uproar about whether the proportions are correct, and by what I can glean from the talkbacks, they are.
