Good Morning, SuperForest!
A few months ago, SuperForester Heather shared with us “Plastic Bag“, a gripping (and almost heart wrenching) story narrated by Werner Herzog about a traveling bag wandering aimlessly across the country in hopes to find meaning in life. Today, I share with you a similar video created by the fine folks of “Heal the Bay”. It explores the nature of the plastic bag as it follows its migratory patterns (and it’s narrated by Jeremy Irons to give it that extra “umph”.)
Though the film is quite light-hearted and humorous, it does a good job of reminding us that the issue at hand most certainly is not. Lucky for us, there is a lot we can do to help, and for those of us living in California, one of those ways we can help is by showing your support to help pass AB 1998, a bill that’s aimed at putting an end to the plastic bag problem and is going to be put to vote on the Senate floor at the end of this month!
You can learn more about this, and about the Heal the Bay organization and all of their efforts by clicking here.
Love to all,
Carla
