People We Love: Rumi

picture-21

I just read this lovely little poem by 13th Century Persian poet Rumi. It feels just as relevant today as it was when it was written, nearly eight hundred years ago.

“Out beyond ideas or wrongdoing or rightdoing, there is a field. I’ll meet you there.

When the soul lies down in that grass, the world is too full to talk about.

Ideas, language, even the phrase “each other” doesn’t make any sense.”

-Jalāl ad-Dīn Muḥammad Rūmī

The world is ours, SuperForesters. Our to make as we see fit.

Much love,

Jackson
