Just got a wonderful email from SuperForester Jesse, who writes:
“(Hello SuperForest,)
Today I spent 15 minutes tearing apart the elaborate packaging that
my new headphones came wrapped in… The oversized box was an
intricate piece of work, full of thick, seemingly un-recyclable
plastic molds, and tape, and glue, and a shiny red coating on all the
cardboard from the box… I couldn’t bring myself to just chuck the
whole thing into the trash because I pictured it floating out in the
middle of the pacific ocean… or piled high on a Wall-E-esque
landfill somewhere in the world… so I began stripping the plastic
coating off of the cardboard because underneath the laminated
material was plain old cardboard, ready to be broken down and re-
used. I admit that I was in the middle of a state of frustration as
I worked to tear off the well glued plastic coating… but then
suddenly after pulling off a chunk of material, I was greeted by a
figure and the figure spoke to me… reminding me to find joy and
creativity in any action, no matter how frustrating it seems on the
surface… and telling me not to worry… because SOMEDAY… and
someday soon… ALL PACKAGING MATERIAL WILL BE RECYCLABLE!!! Luckily
I had a pen lying around to bring his message to life, and so now I
pass it along to you…Rejoice!
The future that we want is possible!!! Right?

Yes! If we want anything bad enough, we can have it. No matter how great the odds against us seem.
Thank you, Jesse!
