SuperForester Carla – “Reply to SuperForester Ewa”

picture-19This is SuperForester Carla. She is rad.

Goooooood Morning SuperForest!

I recently was cc’d by Miss Carla on an email. The email was a reply to the wonderful SuperForester Ewa, (who so thoughtfully translated the Humanifesto into Polish! Thank you Ewa!)

Carla had cc’d me before she sent it, so that I could take a gander, and I guess make sure it was up to snuff. More than being up to snuff, this email is one of the best encapsulations of the SuperForest blog/project/philosophy ever.

Here it is:

“Hi, Ewa!
First of all, thank you so much for your kind words. I am truly blessed to be able to work on a project such as SuperForest, it is a lot of fun and it it always nice to receive some sort of validation from people such as yourself.
There is a lot you can do to help us!
The fact that you have a blog is going to be a big big help. The way I look at it, is this: SuperForest is like a huge web, it is constantly growing and expanding and reaching new readers. How? Because of bloggers such as yourselves. If you write about SuperForest, or write about topics that you feel are SuperForest related, you are positivity blogging and your words will expand our message further.  Team SuperForest is more than 13 bloggers dispersed throughout the world, a SuperForester is anybody who thrives to make the world a better place. A SuperForester is anyone willing to learn from the world they live in and inspire those who surround them. And just by reading your emails, you, Ewa, are as SuperForesty as they get :D
If you wish, consider your blog to be a sister site of SuperForest.  Definitely provide a link to us on your blog, that’d be wonderful. And most important, do whatever you can to spread this positivity blogging fever!  I’m not sure exactly where you live (Poland?), but wherever you are, consider yourself to be something like a SuperForest representative.  The eyes and ears of SuperForest wherever you are. If you find good stuff, write about it, and tell us about it! We can then link each other’s blogs back and forth.  Also, if SuperForest starts a project (like you did with Globalizing the Humanifesto), get involved.  If you want to start a project of your own, let SuperForest know and we can get involved as well! It could be a partnership of sorts. SuperForest will make friends from all over the world, other SuperForests will emerge, and we’ll grow and learn together while sharing information and experiences and thoughts through the internet.
I am filled with optimism and joy, and hope you are too! Again, thank you for your kind and uplifting words, SuperForester Ewa. There are pictures of me scattered throughout SuperForest so I’m fairly certain you know what I look like. Here is a fairly recent picture from my chalk escapade: http://teamsuperforest.org/superforest/wp-content/uploads/2009/06/chalkart6.jpg
Love!
Carla”

Thank you, SuperForester Carla, for your tireless dedication, your generous and welcoming spirit, and your way with words.

Much love,

-Jackson

SuperForest Projects: “Let’s Globalize the Humanifesto” (Brand New Updates!)

lets-globalize-the-humanifesto-update-3

Guess what SuperForest?!

As part of operation “Let’s Globalize the Humanifesto”, we’ve received two more beautiful translations! That’s right, the Humanifesto is now available in Japanese and Dutch! And we have the groovy SuperForesters Keiko and Erik to thank for that! A big hug goes out to you both. So that brings our grand total of SuperForest Humanifesto translations to 7! Here they are lined up, baked with love and still steamy from the oven.

-The SuperForest Humanifesto by SuperForester Jackson
-Manifesto dell’Umanita’
translated in Italian by SuperForester Silvia
-El Humanifesto de SuperForest
translated in Spanish by SuperForester Imelda
-Humanifesto
translated in Bahasa Indonesia by SuperForester Anindya
-SuperForest Humanifesto-ja
translated in Hungarian by SuperForester Larissa
-ヒューマニフェスト translated in Japanese by SuperForester Keiko
-SuperForest Humanifest translated in Dutch by SuperForester Erik

The dedication and speedy work that these SuperForesters have demonstrated is flabbergasting. I’m not sure how many times I can say thank you for the amazing energy you’ve all brought to this project but I am guessing no form of written gratitude will suffice. If I knew how, I’d set off fireworks for each of you.

It’s amazing to see these translations streaming in. The exciting part is, this little project is far from over! I’m going to start working on the translation in Farsi with my Aunt Maryam and I know a few other translations are still in the works. Apart from the things that are going on now, operation “Let’s Globalize the Humanifesto” is also looking toward the future. Our final goal is to get the SuperForest Humanifesto translated in as many languages as possible through a direct collaboration with our readers. Who knows? Eventually, we could see the Humanifesto hung up in major plazas around the world, the words will be cited by major world leaders, maybe children will recite portions in school classrooms! The point is, the sky’s the limit! there is no limit!

Which is why we can’t stop this amazing project now. We are still open to receiving all sorts of Humanifesto translations. If you speak a language other than English and would like to do us a grand favor by translating the Humanifesto, go for it! You can contact us here to send us your translated version or if you have any sort of questions in general.

This is amazing. I feel so lucky to be a part of it!

Love,
Carla

SuperForest Projects: Let’s Globalize the Humanifesto! (An Update!)

lets-globalize-the-humanifesto-update-1

Good Afternoon SuperForest!

Exciting news regarding “Let’s Globalize the Humanifesto!”, we’ve already received two incredible translations! Yay! Apart from being wonderful translations in the beautiful languages of Spanish and Italian, I was flabbergasted at how quickly they came in! A big hug to SuperForester Silvia for submitting Manifesto dell’Umanita’ and SuperForester Imelda for sending El Humanifesto de SuperForest. It’s amazing to think how many more people are now able to read the words of the Humanifesto. With each and every translation, we are opening the floodgates of awareness to thousands and thousands of people.

So let’s keep fanning this fire, two translations are awesome but we really want to get as many languages involved here as possible. One thing that makes SuperForest so special is the diversity of its readers. This is the perfect opportunity for you beautiful, unique, and eclectic readers to flaunt your stuff. Get your country’s flag added to the big “Operation: Let’s Globalize SuperForest” Earth. There’s room for everyone! If you speak any language (and I mean ANY language) other than English, Spanish, and Italian, SuperForest’s arms are wide open to receiving your translation. If you speak Spanish or Italian and notice an improvement (not that they need any, of course) that can be made to our translated versions, feel free to offer any suggestions.

What an awesome way to start the week! Because let’s face it, unity is incredible, but diversity is worth celebration too. And operation “Let’s Globalize the Humanifesto!” is all about combining those two incredible forces…essentially we are creating unity through celebrating our diversity. So keep up the good work SuperForesters and keep the translations coming.

Again, a massive thank you goes out to SuperForesters Silvia and Imelda! Your time and effort is much appreciated.

Happy Day,
Carla

SuperForest Projects: Let’s Globalize the Humanifesto!

untitled-1

Good Morning SuperForest!

For the past few days, I’ve been thinking a lot about what makes SuperForest one of my favorite spots to visit on the web. And although my reasons for my favoritism are infinite, a great part of it has a lot to do with the Humanifesto. It is a breathtaking piece of writing that answers the timeless question, “What’s going to save the human race?” And it doesn’t only answer the question; it does so with three simple words! Please and Thank You. That’s some pretty powerful stuff! And being the basic foundation of our work here at SuperForest, I printed out a copy of the Humanifesto and have it hanging on my wall right above my nightstand. There have been many days where I have felt rushes of frustration or helplessness and have witnessed that negativity vaporize simply by reading a few lines. If you haven’t read it already, I highly suggest you do so now!

Yesterday, when I was getting ready to go to my morning class to take a final, my eyes fixated on the Humanifesto and I thought “Wow! We really need to work on getting as many people to read this as possible.” Sharing the very words that have inspired and moved me so many times on a global scale would be incredible! Stop for a second and imagine a world where people abided by the simple guidelines that have been written in that post for improving human relations!!! Mmmm, I don’t know about you guys but that sends some pretty powerful positive vibes down this skeleton.

So here is what we are going to do. We are going to make that vision come true with operation “Let’s Globalize the Humanifesto!” Phase One is complete, by reading the Humanifesto you have already transformed yourself on the individual level and perhaps you’ve even shared it with those you love. Phase Two involves transmitting this message on a full on global level. We already have the Humanifesto on the internet so that’s a great start but operation “Let’s Globalize the Humanifesto!” is all about stepping it up to the next level. We are going to translate the Humanifesto in as many languages as humanly possible!!! And better yet, we are going to do it together!

SuperForesters around the world, do you speak a language other than English? If so, we need your help! Take a look at our Humanifesto and give it a good ol’ translation and help in transmitting this beautiful message to as many human beings as we can. The Humanifesto isn’t very long, and the language isn’t very technical at all so I whole heartedly believe successful translations are possible. Spanish? Portuguese? Italian? French? Arabic? Farsi? Chinese? Japanese? PERFECT! We want it all! If you are interested please contact us and let us know if you can help us out. Then you can mail us your beautifully translated version of the Humanifesto and presto! We’ll share it with the world!

Love!
