A SuperForest Exclusive: Bushwalla!

Earlier this year, my ears were blessed to hear the brilliance that is bushwalla. After listening to countless songs on YouTube and myspace, Carla and I decided to go to one of his local gigs at the wonderful Jitter’s Coffee Pub. We presented him with a gift and a letter that I feel sums up the effect of his music rather nicely:

“Dearest master of funk and entertainer extraordinaire: Billy Galewood

Thanks for the limitless laughs via your precious, freshest funk. It is truly refreshing to hear such a unique brand of music. Your music is like a tall cold glass of lemonade on a summer day so hot, you legs are stuck to the plastic covering on the couch…

- Taken from the letter Carla and I wrote Bushwalla

Bushwalla was kind enough to respond to a couple questions for us. Enjoy.

SF: What inspires you to make music?:

BUSHWALLA: We live in this great big beautiful universe of amazing energies and possibilities. There is everything and anything that inspires music. When love is present creation flows.

SF: What message do you want your music to convey?:

BUSHWALLA: The message of unity. We are all in this great big bowl of life soup together. All connected , all strung together by the spirit glue.
Keep it focused on connecting and laughter.
Its all about the amount of “yucks” put forward.

If you haven’t had a chance to listen to Bushwalla, please do so.
Your heart will thank you.

Have a wonderful week!
