It seems that at one point in anyone’s childhood, the notion of building a treehouse is always high up there on the to-do list. For me, that feeling is coming a tad late after browsing through La Cabane Perchée’s custom treehouses.
Founded by Alain Laurens, designer Daniel Dufour and carpenter Ghislain André, La Cabane Perchée aims to foster a sense of harmony between the host tree and the treehouse by ensuring that the design and construction of their houses not only blends into their natural environment, but does nothing to damage the tree. Over 220 of them have been built throughout Europe without driving a single nail into the tree itself. Which in my humble opinion, totally adds tons to the swoon-worthiness of these beautiful homes (and makes me want one really really bad).
