I think I’m addicted to discovering new music. Justin Nozuka isn’t entirely new to the music scene, but perhaps he will be new to some of you Superforesters out there. At the fresh young age of 21, Justin not only makes me feel like a cougar, but he also possesses mad talent, a soulful voice and a beautiful vibe all his own.

With art, it’s most important to just follow your senses. It doesn’t matter if it’s been done before, or if it’s not correct in pop culture or whatever. If it feels right, it’s right. — Justin Nozuka

I’ve been dog sitting little Nikko for a week now, and I’ll be honest — at the beginning, I wasn’t sure I would make it through 2 weeks! I’ve always been a huge dog-lover, but aside from my own former pooch Joy, I’ve only ever looked after big dogs, so I wasn’t prepared for little Nikko the spoiled crazy-dog!

After a week, however, Nikko has settled in quite nicely and takes up residency alongside my leg at night while I’m watching TV or reading. Have you ever noticed how much heat a dog radiates? It’s insane! But he does love to snuggle and nap.

On walks he is so alert and bouncy, and every passerby loves him. After walks he goes a little nuts playing and is known to playfully bite with his little teeth, but once I indulge his playtime for a while he gets tuckered out.

Taking care of Nikko has been a test of my patience, and a good window into what kind of parent I might be someday, so it’s been a great learning experience. It’s also been hilarious — he makes the cutest faces and cocks his head to the side when you sing to him. These days he’s been listening to a lot of Justin Nozuka.
