Goooooood Morning SuperForest,
Last Friday I went to see Jason Mraz play at Jones Beach.
Since I’d never before seen him play live, I was very excited. For the majority of the show, I sat next to the soundboard, which is situated dead center of the audience.
Here’s my view:
Mr. Mraz is the glowy, white shape in the center of the stage.
I was totally enjoying the show when a nice security guard told me that I had to move for a moment. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the reason we were moved was because Jason was going to do a few encore songs exactly where I had just been sitting, which changed my view to this:
That’s a bit more interesting, no? A bit closer to the action.
Jason was halfway through an amazing cover of “Wanna be Startin’ Something” when I remembered that I had my flip in my pocket!
I quickly shot this:
Sweet! Jason and his amazing percussionist then walked back to the main stage.
As the last song played, I looked behind me, and who was there? Billy Bushwalla, hula-ing a hoop for all it was worth.
A fabulous night with fabulous music by fabulous people.
Cheers to Jason the Good and True, Bushwalla the Brave, and the fabulous SuperForester Bill Silva, who is a great friend.
Much love, gents!
