Hey, SuperForesters!
You see, I told you guys it wouldn’t be long until I stumbled across another one of these brilliant philosophical/theoretical lectures. But it seems like a lot of you guys enjoy them as much as I do, so here we go.
In this segment, Steven Johnson answers some questions that have long been wondering about. Questions like, “Is the internet and all of its distractions a primarily a good thing or a bad thing?”, “What are the characteristics of a good idea?”, and “Where do these good ideas come from in the first place?” The video’s only a little over 4 minutes, long but he does a fabulous job of discussing these topics and similar to most of these videos, his theories or observations could surprise you.
His book, “Where Good Ideas Come From: The Natural History of Innovention” comes out on October 5th, but you can pre-order on Amazon today!
And as a side note: I really really need to learn how to draw like the the mysterious hairy-armed whiteboard man. Because I’m starting to get overwhelmed with the dude’s talent.
Love,
Carla
