Planika Fires!

Planika makes cool, liquid-fuel fires for indoor use. No smoke, no mess, no carbon monoxide to clog the ol’ windpipe, just a bright, clear flame, and a reassuring warmth to remind that the days of hiding in caves and cowering from prehistoric beasts are behind us.

Had we the dosh and the space we’d be hanging by one now!

Check ‘em out. If you’re in the market for an indoor fireplace and you don’t want to chop down any trees, try Planika.

Safretti Bio-Alcohol Fireplaces

“You fill the fuel box with bioalcohol up to about 0.5 cm under the edge. Use the funnel provided with the fireplace or possibly a measuring jug. Be careful not to spill any. Then you light the fireplace with the Safretti lighter provided. For the first 5 to 10 minutes the typical blue alcohol flame will appear, which will change into a beautiful yellow-red colour when the desired combustion temperature is reached. The flame can be compared to a flame that comes from a wood fire. Before the fireplace is lit, the fuel box must always be filled to 5 cm under the edge. You can extinguish the fireplace at any time. You simply slide the slide over the slit of the fuel box so that the fire goes out by itself.”

No wood, no chimney, no problem.

Lovely.
