Gooood Morning SuperForest!

A few weeks back, the lovely and talented SuperForester Mary Ann and I did a brief interview for the Huntington News about what SuperForest is, and why it’s been so successful.

Here’s a taste:

“A couple of months ago I came across a blog that puts a positive spin on my online reading:  a blog started by Jackson Nash. Jackson was raised not only to believe in the art of activism, but in the power of manners and doing good things to help people. As he puts it, “I was raised believing an empowered individual is the only thing that can make a difference.”

When Jackson moved to New York he did a lot of research on issues like sustainability and continuously sent mass e-mails about his findings to people in his office. His co-workers loved the e-mails and suggested he started a blog in October 2007. And there you have it, the birth of superforest.org. SuperForest is all about positive energy. Jackson has rallied a group of writers that post things they love. Everyone writes for free; they do it because they love it. Jackson describes ‘Team SuperForest’ as living heroes “spreading the message of hope and positivity.”
