Hug someone.
It doesn’t matter who; it could be your mom, your dad, your best friend, a complete stranger (I dare you!). All that matters is that both parties enjoy it. Heck, it’s even good for your body. Scientists have proven that a warm embrace can lower blood pressure and increase levels of oxytocin in the bloodstream. Your brain spends so much time and energy making this “bonding” hormone, and you might as well make some use out of it!
A 2005 scientific study “reinforced research findings that support from a partner, in this case a hug from a loved one, can have beneficial effects on heart health,” adding “This growing body of research only goes to highlight how important social support is for everyone, not just those in a relationship.”
Amen. Back in the 60′s the motto was “Free Love”. In the 21st century it reads “Free Hugs“. Maybe the words are different, but the message is the same.
Remember that a hug a day keeps the doctor away,
Chris
