Good Morning SuperForest!

I was in Los Angeles for SuperForester Jesse’s 30th (!) birthday and was offline basically the entire time I was away. Came back to find an inbox chock full of the most thrilling newness! Where to even begin?

SuperForester Jon sent us word about the all-electric Zero motorcycles, which made us swoon and wish for some serious body armor.

Vermont did an awesome thing and legalized same-sex marriage. Good on you, Vermont! May people who love freedom, justice, and equal rights swarm your state, tax dollars in hand, ready to support a state that supports its own. Bravo! (California? Ahem?)

Seriously, Cali. A bit of branding as the free-est state in the free states can’t hurt. Legalize same-sex marriage. Extend all rights and benefits to all partners, and then make sure to crow about giving two hoots about treating citizens with respect and equality.

Then, when everyone knows you’re serious, launch a brand new ad campaign! Invite not only gay and lesbians and transgendered, but all those who simply believe in freedom, to move to or visit California! Come and bask in the equality!

Sexy marketing and the great things it can bring.

Go Vermont!

SuperForester Jesse sent in this wonderful youtube viddy of a dancing flash mob in Antwerp, Belgium. For to make you smile real wide.

Drake Baer’s blog Urbana Guerrilla continues to be so very excellent and rock my world.

In a bit of meta-deliciousness, I paid a visit to Mr. Sean Fournier’s blog and was thrilled to see that he’d posted about our post on him. So here is our post on his post on our post on him. Your move, Sean. Everybody’s watching.

And some very cool things are in the works behind the SuperForesty scenes!

We just got back our interview with Doctor Paul Smith, the head of the Millennium Seed Bank! That will be formatted and up before the week is out! AND we’re a short 900 bucks away from our goal of raising $3,000 to sponsor our very own SuperForest seed. Fun!

I’m also working on a cool little movie that will help explain why seeds are important and what we can do to help them.

And I’m nearly done with the first draft of Henners the Sea Lion, which is a short story about a Sea Lion who spends a year trying to be every animal he encounters, chooses to live as half-otter and half-walrus, saves his friends and family from certain destruction, and reaches nirvana. It should be done soon and as soon as it is, it’ll be up for your perusal.

ALSO! The incredible SuperForester Julius has built the Peace Alphabet its own micro-site! That too will be up shortly.

In closing, does anyone out there love SuperForest and have a good head for either business or web design? This little site could use some help in both arenas. If you can help out, or know someone you think could help out, please drop me an email: superforestnyc{at}gmail{dot}com.

Thank you all so very much for Reading SuperForest.

Have an excellent day!

Love to All,

Jackson

Good Morning SuperForest!

Yesterday was ludicrously fun!
Spent a good chunk of the evening plotting and scheming with Spoon and Carla about various things. All very exciting.

The Jackstrap post is up and if you like it, please please please send it around to anyone you think would like it too. I’d be thrilled to see people making themselves their own Jackstraps.

I’m working on a Save-A-Seed Coalition update post. The SASC is now up to 29 members, and growing. I’ve got some interesting ideas about ways to generate the last chunk of funds to sponsor our seed, and I’ll have them up and we can all discuss.

Also, on Monday I’m going to email Doctor Paul Smith of the Millennium Seed Bank a list of questions that we SuperForesters would like him to answer. Think of it as a mob-interview! Fun…

So, If you’ve got questions for the good doctor, please leave them as a comment.

I’ll be at home writing Henners all day. If you’d like to speak to me, I’ll be on gchat. Superforestnyc is the name.

Love to each and everyone!
