A Catalogue Of Sustainable Achievements
I flew from NY to Los Angeles. At the airport, a woman was waiting at a newstand kiosk to get change for a dollar, so that she could use the payphone. I gave her all my change before she had to break her dollar. I don’t really like bringing change on planes anyway.
I’ve decided to start keeping track of the tiny little things I think I do to make myself feel better about my species rampant consumption.
Tonight, after work I went shopping at the grocery store near my apartment. I brought my canvas totes to use instead of plastic bags. I usually carry my dog around in them, so I flipped each one inside out.
Yesterday, as I entered the subway, I encountered two women struggling to carry a sleeping child in a stroller up the stairs. I asked if I could be of assistance and carried the child and stroller up to the street.
