For the snap-happy

And a big thumbs up to Sony who’ve been busy coming up with Odo – a new line of funky-looking devices powered by kinetic energy. The Spin N’ Snap Digital Camera caught my eye in particular. To power it, you simply poke your fingers through the two holes and spin the camera end over end. The holes in the camera also serve as the viewfinder! By gosh, what will they think of next?

The Mini Solar Racer

Green cars aren’t a new thing anymore. There are even competitions for who can create the fastest fuel-cell driven race car (Formula Zero indeed). Someone must have reallly liked this green-racing phenomenon before designing the Mini Solar Racer.

And here it is. With the dimensions of 33x22x14 mm it’s smaller then any other green car.
But seriously, thanks to the small solar panel mounted on top the mini solar racer can hit the road without the help of any other energy sources. It even rolls on indoor lighting.

Initially the ‘car’ was designed for small children. But my bet is that it will also function great as a desktop gadget.

Priced around $20 the mini solar racer is the first car that doesn’t harm your wallet as well as the environment.
