Good morning, SuperForest!

We’ve all heard the phrase your body is a “temple” (or a wonderland, if you prefer…lol) but never before have I seen an interpretation as a body as an “industrial palace”.

I saw this yesterday and smiled. Inspired by a series of 1927 posters by Fritz Kahn, Industriepalast is a project that intertwines science, culture, art, and technology. As described on their site:

For thousands of years, human beings have used metaphors as ways of understanding the body. We talk about our ‘ear drums’, or our ‘mind’s eye’. When we are in love we say our hearts are ‘bursting’ or ‘broken’. When we are nervous we say we have ‘butterflies in our stomach’. When we are impatient we have ‘itchy feet’. These familiar images help to explain the unfamiliar and to comprehend the complexity of our bodies.

I love it, but it seems they forgot to include magical star dust and tons of love energy. Oh well, it probably goes without say. : )
