Good Morning, SuperForest!
Have you ever stopped and wondered what a tree would say if it could talk?
Me neither.
But it is an interesting question, nevertheless, and it is one the fine folks over at EOS Magazine (in collaboration with Happiness Brussels) decided they would answer by hooking up a 100-year-old tree to several data recording devices including a fine dust meter, an ozone meter, a light meter, a weatherstation, and a webcam and a microphone. Then, they made it a facebook, twitter, and soundcloud account (as any living and speaking being has now in the digital age, I suppose) to broadcast that data.
It’s an intriguing project. Because while the data this tree shares with us might not be all that interesting, it does make us reflect on the fact that this is, indeed a living and breathing object and illustrates that despite the fact that all trees can’t talk, we, as a human entity, are still able to listen. Or at least try to listen. And then act accordingly. :)
You can visit the talking tree and see how he’s doing, by clicking here.
Hoping you have a wonderful day,
Carla
