Jackson’s Journal – “Bird Face” Auction About to End

Hello!

My painting “Bird Face” is up for auction on ebay, and the auction ends in eleven hours. Included in the auction are the rights to the image, to use as you see fit, for means sinister or otherwise, with my total approval and best wishes. Also I will customize it all nicey nice if you’d like!

It’s been interesting selling art on ebay. My first painting sold for $42 and the auction was ten days. Bird Face has been a five day auction. I’m thinking five days is too long to wait, and I’m just gonna do one day auctions from here on out. It’s more exciting that way.

I’ve got a whole quiver of paintings ready to rock after Bird Face goes bye bye!

Yay!

Painting of the Week – “Bird Face”

Gooood Morning SuperForest!

Last week I did a painting, plopped it on ebay, and watched with a mixture of amusement and amazement as it sold for… $42 smackeroos! Nice! Cheers to SuperForester Robin for her patronage!

So, here’s a second painting my lovelies! To thrill and amuse! And I’ve done a little movie so’s you can viddy how it gets done.

Bird Face is up on Ebay now, and the auction ends in 4 days. Enjoy!

Much love and aloha,

-Jackson

Jackson’s Journal – New Paintings For New Times!

Goood Morning SuperForest!

I wanted to try a little experiment with myself and you all. Last night I did this watercolor painting entitled “Testing. 1,2,3” and then I listed it on ebay.

There it rests! Until the auction ends nine days from now. It can be yours if you want it! And if you are the high bidder, I will happily customize it for your lovely self!

This is an experiment to see how I feel promoting the sale of my artwork on SuperForest, and also to see how YOU feel about me promoting the sale of my artwork on SuperForest.

So, what say you SuperForesters? Is this cool? Harmless? A great idea? Or just crass, blatant commercialism? Or both?

My thinking is that if I need to have a job and make some money (which I do), then I’d like to keep painting, and let the market decide their value. Sounds fun and interesting to me… And, wow! Already got one bid. For forty four cents! YAY!

Let’s discuss!

Thank you very much! Love and aloha!
