Good evening, SuperForest!
Today we are experiencing Daylight Savings Time in which we set our clocks ahead and are in turn required to wake up an hour earlier. I don’t know about you guys, but I definitely start hearing a huge amount of complaining in reference to that “lost” hour of sleep. So to kick off this session of Daylight Savings, I’ve decided to compile a list of a few wonderful things about this day.
1. We get an extra hour of sunlight: The level of awesome goes without say. It saves energy, makes people happy, and gives us more time to things we’ve been meaning to get done.
2. We get to (if you wake up at 6-ish like me) wake up when its dark: This may seem like an odd perk, but I always think its especially nice to wake up when its dark. That way, you can use the sun coming up as a natural alarm clock letting you know when to leave the house, etc. Also, we’ll get to wake up at our usual time and see the sun rise while eating breakfast or getting dressed. How awesome is that?
3. It means spring is almost here! Yay! Here’s to baby animals and beautiful flowers of every color, shape and size. Awe-some. And is there a better way to celebrate the coming of Spring than with a song from one of my favorite bands, Fleet Foxes? (Hint: The answer is no.)
(This wonderful video was directed by Sean Pecknold . All his work is great!)
Enjoy Day Light Savings time!
If none of the reasons above have you convinced, just think of the first sweet sweet morning it ends, where you can sleep in for a whole hour.
Love from,
iman
