Goooddd moorrninnggg SuperForest!
Say hello to SuperForester Marven! I was inspired to use him in this post after writing it, and decided he shall accompany me in any future environmental posts! He loves his home, as he said. Do you love your home? We protect our homes from robbers, fires, and the lot, so let us protect his! Now Let us dig in to the goodies! Let Marven lead the way…
SuperForester Mary, also known as Mom, just sent this awesome article to me! It comes from a place of unexpectedness: Sky Magazine from Delta. YES OUR AIRLINE FRIENDS!! They did a special for Earth Day and it is wonderful. It highlights environmental activists around the globe doing what they do best. It starts with the mother of them all, Jane Goodall, and covers many other cool cats as well. The opening page really sets the tone with Ms. Goodall quoted saying,
Surely we can use our problem-solving abilities, our brains, to find ways to live in harmony with nature.
YES! There are many great, great articles in the issue so check it out! The article I WANT you to read starts on page 60. Be sure to pay attention to Dr. M Sanjayan of the Nature Conservancy. He talks about the 10 great things we should be pumped about environmentally. We often do get bogged down in what is wrong and what suck and how much there is to do. He let’s us catch our breath and say, “Yes! We are doing!” So check it out and enjoy!
There is also a fantastic article on the Galapagos Islands that I’d recommend as well right after the Earth Day article. Near the end there is a few page advertisement for the University of Minnesota, which is actually very inspirational and awesome. Read that too!
With that in mind go get um SuperForesters:

I would love to hear what you guys think, maybe we could get a discussion going here on SuperForest. If we get something good going I’ll revisit this all again with some more thoughts and material. Give me YOUR thoughts!
Here are some questions to get you started and lead the way, but feel free to dive wherever you want to dive!
-What is your mission to be more aware in your envioronment?
-What success have you seen in our world?
-What is your environment story?
-Where is your place of natural serenity?
-What have you done to spread the message of environmental awareness/love with your friends and family?
-What or where is your source of inspiration and hope?
-How do you participate in being an activist? (Lots of ways to do this one, most ways we don’t even realise we are doing)
Looking forward to hear!
Enjoy!
~M
