I’m Alice In Wonderland Dude! (Or: Screenprinting Childhood Memories Is Fun)

Good Evening SuperForest

I’m sure many of you, like me, have a very very favourite t-shirt. One that no longer fits or has been careworn by your love into a condition no longer suitable for public wear. Mine is my kick-ass “ZOO København”, TIGER-FACED souvenir from the city zoo in Copenhagen, Denmark from a summer visit while staying with Farfar and Farmor when I was 6 or so (I remember! The rabbit tunnel play area! A goat in the petting zoo tried to eat my little sister! bwah ha;).

I wore and wore and wore it, I stretched and pulled and tore it. And eventually, unable to part with it despite its undeniably tiny proportions, I downgraded the tee to my pyjama drawer.  And today? well today I created… not a replacement, but an outside-acceptable homage to it:

Made me smile so hard. Now to make matching shirts for my sisters! (ooh, and then to locate a pic of the three of us wearing them back in the day and persuade them to recreate it for  Young Me Now Me, heh).

Silk-screenprinting? So simple, so fun!

Love
