pinkberry with chocolate chips – $5.85
Christine and Justin, a couple from NYC, are the creators of Wants for Sale - a gallery with a difference: “each painting shows one thing we want and sells for the price of the real item. So you can buy A Slice of Pepperoni for $3.00 or Dinner at Nobu for $152.00. When the painting sells we use the money to go out and buy that thing.”

snuggie (set of two with free booklights) – $58.98
Fun idea, huh? And a nice blurring of the “this is not a pipe” distinction between the object and the concept or picture of the object.

elmo – $100 for New York Cares
And even better, Christine and Justin have expanded the project from stuff that they want to stuff that other people really need! Check out Needs for Sale - where you can buy a painting of something and by doing so, provide money to enable charities to provide the actual something to someone who really needs it!

front door – $150 for Habitat for Humanity
Kind of like having a magic magic marker where what you draw becomes real…Yay for Christine and Justin!
via its nice that
