People We Love: Brian Bielmann, Surf Photographer

Having cousins who are surf enthusiasts (and who’s houses contain nearly nothing to read but dozens of issues of Surfer Magazine), I’ve seen a lot of surf and wave photography and of all the works I’ve seen, few can compare to that of Brian Bielmann. He has an incredible eye for showing angles of the sport that make you feel as if you are actually experiencing what’s captured in the image. I was recently introduced to his website and after going through his portfolio, I think I’ve felt just about every emotion in the book.

Of course, his entire site is worth flipping through, but if you’re pressed on time, make sure you check out the “Wipeout” and “Underwater” sections. Here’s a tiny taste.

Amazing, no? So perfect for the ol’ eyeballs after coming home from a final exam. You can check out more of his work here and I highly suggest you do, it’ll have you day dreaming for hours (or at the very least, will provide you with some sweet desktop wallpapers, so it’s a win no matter how you look at it).
