Yesterday, Australia’s Big Pineapple was officially heritage-listed. Built in the ’70s, it is the reason millions of tourists head to the country’s sunny Queensland each year. It got me thinking about other “big things” and my googling lead me here: Big Things. While us Down Under folk boast the Big Pineapple; Big Apple; Big Avocado; Big Banana; Big Marino; and Big Penguin (see images above), what of all the other countries?
