Meatless Mondays Make For Happy Cows

(image via Xerxy)

Today, students in the Baltimore City Public School System became the first in the nation to take part in Meatless Mondays. Not only are the students going to have a better diet and cut down on their ecological footprint associated with meat consumption, this program will present the opportunity for these kids to learn about a different, healthier diet. Not every meal has to have meat in it!

Hurray to great initiatives such as Meatless Mondays. This isn’t only for schools and institutions. I encourage everyone to try out Meatless Mondays for themselves. It is not difficult at all and the health benefits are tremendous. Tell yourself to pick one day out of the week and eliminate all forms of meat from it! Make a cow smile this week.
