Internet Treasures: Audio Current!

Goooood Evening, SuperForest!

Happy Thursday! Last week, SuperForester Maureen informed me of Audio Current, an awesome blog her friends started whose sole purpose is to introduce us to amazing music. Knowing that Maureen and her buddies have such great taste in music, I knew I had to check it out. And oh, boy! I am so grateful I did. You know that cool friend that’s always ahead of the curve when it comes to music? The chap that discovers amazing artists long before they become popular? (We all have one.)  Well, Audio Current is like a website version of that friend and lovingly provides you with an amazing new artist each and every day.

Since I first landed on the virtual shore of the sweet oasis that is Audio Current, I have discovered incredible artists like Jack Peñate, The XX, and Miike Snow. And if funky electro tunes aren’t really your thing, worry not, the variety posted on this site every day is enough to give you a taste of just about every music genre you could imagine.

To give a fine sample, here is Miike Snow’s, Black and Blue. A track (and video) that is sure to make you smile:

Love to the fine folks at Audio Current for doing their thing. SuperForest applauds your awesomeness.

I’ll leave you with the single line that currently exists under their “About” page:

“You are the whale.  We are the baleen.  Music is the…”

Have a lovely day,

Carla
