Alan’s Midnight Magic

Hello SuperForest! I’m in the real world SF, San Francisco, on vacation. There is much in the works for this trip, but for now I just HAD to tell you guys something.

So, my mom and I have just arrived in the city, come up to our hotel, and settled in. My mom went downstairs for some air, and a man came up to her, telling her that he was about to tell her something that would change her life. He told her he needed 25 dollars to get his car out of the garage he left it in, as well as for the bridge fare, he says he lives Conastoga, which according to him, is an hour and a half from here.

They go on talking for a little bit, and he said he needed to go home tonight to prepare 200 sandwich and hygiene packs for the homeless shelters across the city. He tells her that Robin Williams, Danny Glover, and Billy Crystal have just finished shooting a movie about him, which will be named Midnight Magic. He had just inherited 9 billion dollars from a deceased grandfather. He tells her that she could come over to the parking garage, where there was a security guard, and show her his car, along with the newspaper clippings of his various good deeds, along with advance reviews of the upcoming film. He goes on to say that since he’ll be back tomorrow, he can meet her wherever she wants to pay her back. She says, “No, that’s okay, just pay it forward.”

She comes back up to the room, recounts the story to me, and I decide to google the terms “Midnight Magic + Robin Williams”. I get THIS.

Twenty minutes into our vacation and my mother meets a San Franscican legend! A con artist (not that she didn’t know…). She told me, “His story alone was worth 25 dollars.”

So funny.

Have a great day!

Love,

Chris
