I, quite literally, have been listening to this pretty much all day. And it still hasn’t failed to make me smile and laugh. A quick warning, as it so often happens with live performances, fowl language does slip in there but it is very discreet.
My dearest SuperForesters, this one, as the title wonderfully suggests, is for you dreamers…
Fabulous! (Or maybe I feel that way because I’ve grown accustomed to the sound, or because I have the weirdest taste in music) But the pure joy and love that exudes from these guys is undeniable. When first listening to this, I kept thinking Sharpe’s voice sounded strangely familiar (Cat Stevens ’76 “Earth Tour”?). But I later realized categorizing or labeling these guys probably goes against everything they stand for. Especially a group as eccentric as this one. So I’ll let them stand on their own.
They are Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, and they are wonderful.
