Good evening, SuperForest!
Over the course of my day, I stumble across several good ideas online but this morning, It’s Nice That opened my eyes to one that was absolutely incredible; one that got me so excited to see actually existed! “Challenge Your World” is a website that hopes to
…advance the next generation of business by developing the world’s best sustainability ideas. By providing an online community for collaboration and support, engaging competitions to motivate and inspire, and a development workspace that provides targeted tools and resources, we will enable ideamakers and aspiring entrepreneurs to transform their ideas into sustainable businesses which contribute to society and restore balance to the environment.
You might think that capitalism and environmentalism are two words that seldom belong in the same sentence. But the fine folks over at “Change Your World” found a way to fuse the two together in a manner that is pure awesome. Because when you really think about it, the worlds of business and environmentalism pretty much pursue the same goals of growth, efficiency, and renewal. Seen from this perspective, you’d be crazy not to put the two together! So essentially, these people created a fine vehicle for sustainable business networking and creative collaboration! Kind of like what SuperForest is trying to do in the blogosphere with 1+1=1!!!
Their latest exciting activity is Challenge Your World 20/20. A project that asks artists to submit videos that showcase “wild, whimsical, and unconventional machines that solve environmental issues”. Because as they put it, “If we’re going to transform the world we have to push ourselves to think differently.”
Check out this one by Greg Herman & Babe Elliott Baker!
Amazing! If you are interested and want to submit a video before the November 10th deadline, you can find more information here!
And you can watch more of the video submissions (all of which are fab), here!
Yaaay!
With love,
Carla
