Jackson’s Journal: Three Deep Breaths (2/19/10)

Goood Morning SuperForest,

Sometimes I get afraid that I don’t have anything of value to say, or that if I try, I’ll look stupid. Good old fear.

Ha ha ha ha!

In this vid, I definitely start out a bit stiff and then loosen up, I think in direct relation to how close I am to that dead bird. Dead hummingbirds are the kryptonite of happiness. Or so I read on that t-shirt at Hot Topic. Jokes!

Seriously… When life gets all wild and crazy around you, remember to breathe. Taking deep breaths, in and out, with the exhale twice as long as the inhale, is just about the only thing we CAN control. Let’s control it to the fullest.

New Cute Animals Saying Nice Things on Monday! Yay!

Love,

Jackson

  • Thanks Jackson! I needed those deep breaths…I’m so calm right now.

  • Thank you for the wise words and the deep breaths.:)
Have a wonderful weekend! I can’t wait for Cute Animals Saying Nice Things!

  • At the end of a rough day I feel so connected and grateful to have found a website like this. I’m hooked- thank you.

  • Greatness is all around us! Thanks you Jackson, as always. Beautifully calming. R.I.P. Hummingbird.

  • Thanks Jackson.

  • Thank you!
I’ll make sure to breathe like that regularly :)
    (poor hummingbird though!)

  • Yes! Taking 3 deep breaths works out so well whenever you feel drained, worried,or being angered. We’re only human. Easy to be controlled by our mind/feeling…but in fact, we’re not our mind. We can detach from it. Taking a few of deep breaths is a great way of releasing ourselves from it. Feel good. Feel fresh. Have a super fresh weekend!

  • As time has gone by and the date of this post fades into the past I have come to realise something. Jackson, this video means so much for me, and inspires me to such a high degree. There aren’t enough thank you’s I could give you. Your talk has really stuck with me and has been held close in my heart and brain. There is so much more I could say, but have no idea how. So thank you for the inspiration, and everything.

    Much love,

    Mathew

  • I’ve been working my way through the superforest archives, and I think this may be my favourite post yet! Thank you so much for all of this :)
